Many Thanks–MFT Color Challenge #74

MFTCPC74_2017jul27

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Purple Rain, Green-Eyed Monster, Factory Green, Grout Gray. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I thought this had kind of an Autumn vibe so I went with LJD Geometric Greenery stamp set and LJD Geometric Greenery Die-namics for my focal point. I’m using a Grout Gray card stock base and I applied some molding paste on Sweet Tooth card stock through Small Brick Wall Stencil for my background. When it was dry, I sponged on some Grout Gray dye ink to give it a little more definition and adhered it to the base with foam mounting tape.

I stamped the leaves on Ranger Watercolor paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink, cleaned my stamp and stamped again with Versamark before heat embossing with Ranger Super Fine Black Embossing Powder. I wanted that little bit of texture on the leaves and at certain angles you can see the shine which adds yet another dimension. Then I watercolored them with Peerless Watercolors and popped them up on the card front with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. After I added some enamel dots in the challenge colors I was done!

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
