Birthday Wishes–CTD #451

CTD451_2017jul12

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Amy Rysavy is our hostess and she’s chosen some summer colors based on her refreshing inspiration piece.

I chose to work with flowers for this card so I got out Stitched Flowers Die-namics with which to create my flower spray. I used Brushed Gold Card stock for the centers since there was no yellow in the challenge color palette. I cut the flowers from Razzle Berry card stock and Cotton Candy card stock and the leaves from Green Room card stock. I assembled the flowers using hot glue and set them aside.

I added a strip of Black & White Basics Paper Pack to the bottom of a Sweet Tooth card stock base then, on more Sweet Tooth card stock I stamped Distressed Patterns with Delicata Gold Pigment Ink and the sentiment, from the just-released Handwritten Happiness stamp set, trimmed it down, and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape. I adhered the already assembled flowers and was done!

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD451 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd451 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented July Guest Designer, Tracey McNeely!
