I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then on a trimmed-down piece of Ranger watercolor paper I did a watercolor wash with Berrylicious dye ink. I created a frame with two sizes of Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics and popped it up on foam mounting tape after I’d stamped a sentiment from Encouraging Words with Black Licorice dye ink. Next I cut LJD Scribble Roses from more watercolor paper, stamped them with LJD Scribble Roses and Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. I colored the roses and leaves with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and popped them up on the frame, and finished off with some enamel dots

Shine On–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #239

MFTWSC239_2015jul29

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFTWSC239

This was a super fun card to make and I didn’t even make a shaker card, LOL!! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added another layer of Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Blueprints 20 Die-namics. Next I cut some Ranger watercolor paper with Cross-Stitch Circle STAX Die-namics and water colored my background. All of the images are from MSTN Things With Wings and MSTN Things With Wings Die-namics, stamped on Ranger water color paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink. The back ground and the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers—the more I use the things the more I am LOVING them!! The sentiment was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder and I used foam mounting tape for dimension, and finished off with some enamel dots.

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!

Hello You–CTD #353

CTD353_2015jul29

Hello and welcome! It’s time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Vickie has a very fresh and summer palette for us this week, based on her cheerful inspiration piece.

swatch 353

I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then, on a piece of Ranger watercolor paper, I added splash of color using my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and some splatter using Grape Jelly dye ink. I added some Wild Greenery Die-namics, cut from Jellybean Green card stock and Gumdrop Green card stock, then stamped up some blooms from Desert Bouquet on Sweet Tooth card stock and fussy cut them out. I arranged them on the card from and added a sentiment, from LLD Friend Request, stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, popped up on foam mounting tape. I finished the sentiment using a die from Love & Adore You Die-namics, also cut from Black Licorice card stock three times and the copies adhered together for dimension. I finished off with some enamel dots.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD353 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd353 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented July Guest Designer, Valentyna Komisarenko!
